DEPOSIT + CANCELLATION POLICY

You will receive an email and text message reminder 3 days before your appointment with us. We politely ask for a response within 24 hours. Please either respond on email or txt message. Email – please confirm by clicking on the email link. Text message – reply YES to confirm, NO to cancel or contact to CHANGE. New client colour appointments - deposit of £30. New client cut and blow dry appointments – deposit of £10, this will be deducted from your total bill at checkout.

If you do not respond to the text message or email reminder, within 24 hours, the deposit will be non-refundable and upon booking your next appointment, we will require another deposit.

For regular clients, we will not require a deposit for re-booking appointments. However, if you do not respond to the email or text message reminder within 24 hours and need to change or cancel, we will take a deposit for your next appointment.

If you cancel last minute, or more than twice, we will require a cancellation fee of 50% of your service and a new client deposit will be applied to a future appointment.

Please note, this does not apply to Consultation + Patch tests, these are complimentary.

DO I NEED A PATCH TEST?

Please note: Hair Dye Allergies are rare and unlikely.

Patch test procedures are devised to minimise risk and maximise your safety.

Patch Testing is a requirement for the following;

  • New clients to Salt + Suli

  • Existing clients who have not had their hair coloured for a period longer than six months

  • If since your last Hair Colouring service at the salon you have; used another family/brand of dye away from the salon, had a henna treatment anywhere on your body, had a tattoo anywhere on your body, had semi-permanent make up or a semi-permanent tattoo anywhere on your body, had an allergic reaction to anything, if there is a possibility of you being pregnant and change in hormones, if you have started taking any new medication and if you have suffered from any kind of skin irritation within the last six months.

Patch Tests must be performed no later than 48 hours before the hair is due to be coloured. Reactions can take up to two days to develop, therefore it’s important that the test is given sufficient time to process. The tests should not be deemed valid if the client does not have her hair coloured within six weeks of the date that the test was administered. The longer you leave it, the higher the chance of developing a new allergy. Once you have had your colour done, providing none of the reasons under the first section apply, you may re-colour your hair again with the same products for up to six months. If you have not recoloured your hair in this time, you will require another test. Again, the longer you go between appointments, the higher the risk if you proceed without a patch test.

If you are a regular repeat client of the salon, you must repeat the test annually. The reason for this is that the test exposes the client to pure tint and a reaction/allergic symptoms are more likely to show when the dye is in this state.

Your stylist or reception manager will be in contact if a new patch test is needed.

Patch tests take a maximum of 10 minutes to perform.

Please note that we may on some occasions, depending on what service you have, need to test with two separate colours, if this is the case, the tests need to be done two days apart.

Aftercare advice for patch tests is sent automatically to your email address 1 hour before your patch test appointment.

IS THERE PARKING NEARBY?

  • Blatchington Road and surrounding roads on pay and display – 2 hours maximum.
  • Clarendon Villas, on the (Sackville road end) parking for 11 hours on pay and display.
  • Norton Road car park.
  • Tesco, Church road.

WHAT ARE THE STYLISTS AVAILIBILITY?

We recommend to book at least 4/6 weeks in advance for colour appointments and 6/8 weeks for a Saturday or Thursday evening, this is to secure a date you would like. Cut and blow dry’s, if you have a specific event you are attending please book in advance. We may have last minute availability for Cut and Blow dry’s.

GIFT CARDS

Please get in contact if you would like to purchase a gift card for a friend or loved one. Gift card prices start at £20 and are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

If you would like to go on our waiting list for a particular day and times, please contact the salon directly. Please note you must be a regular client or have a valid patch test to be on the waiting list. If you do not have a patch test, please make an appointment.
