My love of beauty started at a young age and I’ve been working in the industry for over 15 years. I’ve had a variety of roles which have included, working in spa’s, salons, for beauty companies directly as well as being a MUA at London Fashion Week, for various high end brands and with celebrities. This diverse background has given me a wealth of experience and understanding of the industry but my passion from the day I started college has always been to one day open my own Salon.
For me personally, I cannot express how incredible my team at Salt + Suli are, each day they make me so proud and inspired seeing what they create and the joy their work brings to our clients. Not only are they amazing dedicated hairdressers but on a personal level such a lovely group of Stylists.
We as a team have created a salon with a modern feel, a relaxing and friendly environment where everyone is welcome.
Since being with Salt + Suli, my work as a whole has massively
progressed. I enjoy doing hair more and more each day as I have a lot
more confidence in my work and love to take on new challenges.
My favourite aspect of colour is Balayage and the reason why is that you
can create a lot of different looks on every hair type. It is a very low
maintenance colour for everyone but can really enhance the natural hair
colour or give you the blonde you want without the up keep.
I love the atmosphere in the salon and I work with such a great team
that it makes my job even more enjoyable!
I have great passion when it comes to hairdressing mainly because I love
the finished outcome and giving clients happy hair and happy minds!
The thing I enjoy most about hairdressing is being able to bring back someone’s confidence and fall back in love with their hair whether its creating a new colour or style or creating length & thickness by adding extensions.
I like to help my clients feel at ease and welcome by taking the time to listen to better understand their needs, hair can be a reflection of our personalities so I feel it’s important to create a personal service.
I’ve been at the salon for two and half years, it is a calm and friendly atmosphere, which makes it great environment to work in, I love working with such a great talented team who always inspire me.
I love to be able to get creative with hair ups and enjoy bridal hair it’s such a wonderful experience to be part of.
When I was a young girl I used to always cut my Barbie’s hair and from
that moment it was the beginning of what would be the most amazing
journey for my career in hairdressing. I started in salon at the age of 14
working my way up on the salon floor. Gaining experience working in
London taught me how to personalise my hair services.
I love creating transformations and completely changing someone’s look
and how they feel about themselves. I think it’s a really amazing thing if
you can make someone feel special and give them a new confidence just
by changing their hair.
I have a passion for colour and love how diverse the colour world has
become and the fact that it constantly evolves which means I will always
have new skills to learn and improve as a hairdresser.
I became a hairdresser because I love making people feel great about themselves. Watching a client walk out of the salon with an extra spring in their step has always been my favourite part of hairdressing.
The sky is the limit at Salt + Suli, having a team that supports you no matter what you do or how you do it fills me with the confidence to push myself further everyday.
I have been hairdressing for nine years and now, more than ever, because the team always takes the time to talk over my plans to achieve new things, I feel that my work is never done and that there is always something new and exciting to learn.
The best part of being a Senior Stylist is being able to use old and new skills to create a unique and tailored outcome for each of my clients.
I have been working with the Salt + Suli team as their marketing and social media manager for three years and it’s been an incredible journey.
We now have a huge presence in Brighton and Hove and in 2019 we won the ‘Best Salon in Sussex’ award, which was an incredible achievement.
The salon constantly goes from strength to strength and I love working with such a talented group of individuals who all are very passionate about their work!
I have been in the Hair Industry since the day I left school, 12 years ago! I had always wanted to become a Stylist and I am so pleased I took the plunge. It’s an amazing job that doesn’t feel like work. I was trained by one of the best brands in the world but decided I wanted to further my career by moving to a close, fashion forward independent salon.
I am an all rounder, I enjoy all aspects about my job. I strive for perfection and love to make my clients smile. I love creating short, sharp cuts that are versatile and easy to manage and cutting strong fades on gents. I also absolutely love a classic bouncy blow dry.
I have been on many courses through the years to further my knowledge and skills. But this job is brilliant, as the best place to learn and get inspiration is to watch the girls on the salon floor.
My favourite part about hairdressing is probably the fact that every day is different. I love colour and I’m always altering my technique slightly for each client, which both keeps my brain focused, and my clients happy.
I always enjoy learning new skills and techniques, which is what this industry is all about - we never stop learning. I’ve been super creative for as long as I can remember, and hairdressing was where I wanted to end up for the longest time, and I’m so happy that I’m here.
