EXTENSIONS

BEAD APPLICATION

We use two different types of hair – Russian or Indian. The hair is applied with a strand-by-strand hair extension method and attached with tiny beads that come in several colours to blend to the root colour. The beads are made from metal and are gently silicone lined for extra grip and to prevent damage to the natural hair. This method does not use any heat or glue so is a great way to allow your natural hair to grow whilst they are in. This technique has become the most popular hair extension method because it is low maintenance, and the hair can be reused. We recommend our clients to come in for re-fits every 8-10 weeks.

TAPE EXTENSION APPLICATION

We use two different types of hair – Russian or Indian. Tape extensions are great to use if you’d like to temporarily lengthen your hair, as they are not permanent and relatively simple to put in, the seamless design provides a flat finish with no lumps or bumps. Tape extensions have minimal effect on the natural hair, the 4cm wide tapes distribute the weight of the extensions across a larger section of hair. It is a heat free application, they are fitted together by sandwiching together two tapes, with a small section of natural hair in-between. They are easily removable and reusable.

Please note that when refitting tapes, we ask our clients to visit the salon two days in a row, day 1 to remove the tape extensions, this gives the stylist enough time to remove the previous tape, day 2 to re-fit. We recommend our clients to come in for a re-fit every 6-8 weeks.

CONSULTATIONS

Hair extension consultations are complimentary and take a maximum of 15 minutes. We require a booking for this service. Please note prices below are a guideline. After the consultation we will confirm a price via email. Re-fit costs are a set price. AFTERCARE ADVICE

Drying – Hair can be left to dry naturally but roots must be dried, make sure hair has been combed and de tangled before drying. Dry the roots thoroughly first then dry mid length and ends in a downwards direction to smooth the hair (do not go in the opposite direction of the hair shaft), rough dry or separate hair into sections and use a paddle brush or round brush to smooth and style hair (be cautious not to pull on the roots). Straightening irons and curlers can be used but be aware of excessive heat on the hair. Be careful of not melting the hair extension bonds.

Sleeping – Loose plait or ponytail to avoid knotting. It may feel uncomfortable for the first week when laying down.

Holidays – Avoid chlorine on extensions, as there may be a possibility that the chlorine will affect the colour. Keep hair up and away from creams and light colours, as may be dissolved from products. Please note, we advise that new extensions do not get fitted two weeks before holidays, as the sun and sun lotions have potential to effect the hair.

Avoid high buns or ponytails for the first few weeks, use low pony tails until the bonds have settled.

Scalp can feel itchy and tight when newly fitted.

Avoid washing hair for the first few days, let the hair settle.

Recommended products – L’Oreal Mythic Oil and L’Oreal inforcer on coloured hair.

Re order new hair every 6-9 months. This is dependent on how you care for your hair.
